This looks rather lovely. An outdoor event especially for families with young children in the grounds of Arley Hall & Gardens, a charming old family-owned stately home with oodles of character and beautiful gardens to explore and relax in. The estate’s history dates back to the 15th century, and the house now standing was built between 1832 and 1845.
Fairy Tales and Mini Beast Trails is on Sunday 3 July between 11am and 5pm. Children can explore the Magical Mini Beast Trail in the gardens, look for the Ugly-Bug Cuddly Bugs in the play zone and search for the enchanted doors in the Fairy Glen.
Arley Hall’s neighbours at Stockley Farm Park are bringing along lambs and goats, and there will also be birds of prey and ponies. Activities include face painting, planting seeds, and all the fun stuff in the Adventure Play Zone (zip wire, sandpit, swings, slides and willow domes).
There is a cafe at Arley or you can bring a picnic. Family tickets cost £10 or £15 on the day, parking is free. Arley Hall is in Northwich, Cheshire CW9 6N.
