On page 6 of the Spring issue we wrote about an event on April Fool’s Day called Art on the Run. We have just been advised that the date has changed to 21 May at 11am. In case you didn’t see the article, here are the details again:
Just inside the M60 ring road at Prestwich, on the other side of Manchester, there is to be a 5K run (or walk, gallop or plod) through the regenerated LIVIA Forest (part of the City of Trees project). As you make your way at your own pace through the trees, you will come across some large and fascinating art installations, and cross the finish line to the sound of musicians playing.
Art on the Run is organised by Wild Rumpus (a social enterprise in Cheshire who produce large-scale outdoor family arts events in natural environments, such as the Just So Festival) and the Forestry Commission England. If you fancy it, you need to book ahead.
