Little Tigers is a free magazine for parents, grandparents and carers of children aged 0 to 11 in Northeast Cheshire and parts of South Manchester, Trafford and Stockport.
When Little Tigers was founded in 2001, it was difficult for families with young children to find out what was going on locally — nowadays there is so much information available online that it can be overwhelming and hard to sift through.
Our mission is to help and entertain our readers by giving them useful information, carefully curated listings, real-life parenting stories, specially commissioned feature articles and strictly relevant advertising. We think our content is the best and most original of all the local magazines for parents, grandparents and carers.
We are fiercely proud of our traditional printed format. The online environment encourages information overload, constant distractions, quick moving from place-to-place and short attention spans. Conversely, a printed publication encourages our readers to take some quiet me-time, to read without distractions, to linger for longer on each article, and to absorb the content more thoroughly. Many of our readers keep hold of their copies of Little Tigers, to refer back to at a later date.
Alison Stodolnic is our founder, owner and editor. She is supported by a fantastic network of local suppliers, freelance content creators and distribution outlets. Little Tigers exists thanks to the ongoing support of our loyal advertisers — we love each and every one of them.
