I adored Christmas as a child. With the exception of one Christmas when my dad decided to by my mum a microwave (which he wanted) but put it in a portable television box (which she wanted), we always had a very happy Christmas. However my mum was prone to spells of irritability in the run up to Christmas which I used to find rather un-festive. Now I have become like my mother and I understand everything.
