We only publish material that we think is of interest to our readers — parents, grandparents and carers of children aged 0 to 12 in Cheshire and South Manchester. We welcome editorial contributions and suggestions from all corners of the Little Tigers community. However, before you send us anything, please take a few minutes to read the guidelines below.

We mostly focus on local people, events, organisations and places. We strive to be helpful, truthful, positive, supportive, inclusive, authentic and friendly. We provide information and ideas, not parenting advice. We want our readers to feel that they are not alone, as they do the important (and sometimes challenging) job of looking after their children.

We commission and pay for some original articles researched and written by freelance journalists and writers (usually people who fit our readership profile). If you would like to write for Little Tigers, please send your non-fiction article proposals to editor@littletigers.co.uk along with a brief introductory email about who you are and what you do, and a few samples of (or links to) your writing.

We would like to hear from you if you want to tell us about any of the following:

  • An upcoming event that could be included in the Days Out & Events section
  • Useful information about a relevant charity or social enterprise / a source of free support for parents / a community group / a family-friendly place to go
  • A genuinely interesting news story, or an idea for a feature article
  • A person working in the parenting community that we might like to profile

If you are contacting us about products and services that do not fit into one of these four categories, you may be able to promote your business in Little Tigers by booking some advertising space.
